Hello Sam, can you tell us a little bit about yourself?
Hi all, I’m Sam, proud Estate Manager of Verdant Hill. I’m married with one son and one daughter and I migrated to Australia in 2010. I have been working in the real estate industry since arriving in this amazing country. I have worked in the established property market and in off-the-plan real estate development, but my main passion is within the land sales space as it gives me the opportunity to be a part of growing community.
And a little bit about Verdant Hill?
Verdant Hill is a wonderfull community and the perfect place to call home. It is a fast-growing community with 1,400 residential land lots in the masterplan and has 59 hectares, that’s 145 acres, of parklands, wetlands and more, including a sports pavilion, tennis courts and AFL/cricket grounds. It is also conveniently located within a few minutes drive to Tarneit train station and Tarneit Central Shopping Centre and is within walking distance to the future Kennings Road Town Centre.
What excites you most when you talk about Verdant Hill?
The previously mentioned amenities within the community really excite me as there are not too many places that have the abundance of green spaces that we do here at Verdant Hill. We also have a playground under construction and this space will contain a BBQ area, skate park, outdoor exercise equipment, a basketball area and play equipment.
Tarneit is one of the up and coming suburbs west of Melbourne, what do you like most about the area?
About 50,000 people already live within the suburb and it has all the necessary amenities that you would expect, a couple of shopping centres, it’s own train station, and numerous primary and secondary schools.
How do you imagine Tarneit will look in 5/10 years’ time?
In another 5 years, I envisage Tarneit will be similar to the current day Williams Landing or Point Cook. Most likely the suburb will double its population. New shopping centres will be built, more schools, parks and playgrounds and other amenities including train stations, some already planned, will become part of the suburbs’ infrastructure in the near future. Currently all roads are widening to cater to the growing population as Tarneit is one of the fastest growing suburbs in Melbourne.

What sets Verdant Hill apart from other estates?
Well, where to begin? For starters, we have one of the largest green spaces ever seen within a residential development in the western suburbs. Then you take into account the sports fields, the abundance of walking and cycling tracks, all the amenities within the development and you have the ingredients for the perfect community in which to call home.
What advice would you give a buyer looking to purchase in the Tarneit area?
Don’t hesitate, as it is great time to buy with record low interest rates and bottom of the market prices, so you don’t want to miss out on your chance to purchase your dream home at a great price.
