Urban Edge Landscape Architects (UELA) provide Landscape Architectural Consultants Services to a number of large scale residential land subdivision projects across Melbourne involving the design, documentation and contract administration of a wide range of open space reserves, waterways, streetscapes, parks and playground spaces. UELA are an award winning practice, working with some of Australia’s leading property developers for over 18 years, experienced in the delivery of high quality, innovative, value for money landscapes and interesting, robust and functional open space areas.

Our approach with all projects is to ensure that our work is responsive to the client brief, with our priority to meet deadlines and maintain budget control. In addition, we have considerable experience in dealing with a range of consultants and landscape contractors including experience in negotiating positive outcomes with councils, Melbourne Water and other stakeholders. Echelon Planning works across the private and public sectors, providing considered and practical advice. We work with clients from the scoping and due diligence phases through to approvals and implementation of projects through the rezoning and permit stages. We assist clients to prepare and obtain planning approvals.

This includes establishing the planning strategy/approach, preparing development applications and planning reports, engagement and co-ordination of specialist project consultants and ongoing negotiation with government authorities and stakeholders. We work across infill, Greenfield and regional areas.

Moreover, we provide advice to state and local governments ranging from preparing new policy frameworks and plans through to strategic plans at a municipal scale and research on strategic issues and advice to clients at all stages of the project lifecycle – from due diligence reviews, through to development feasibilities, bids, rezoning and development approvals.
