A new community is blooming at Verdant Hill, with construction progressing in leaps and bounds. To date, a monumental 463 lots have been constructed, and a total of 574 lots have been sold. Stage 12 electrical easements will commence in August/September, with completion expected in time for the upcoming summer holidays. Outdoor amenities will adorn the stage 12 electrical easement landscape, with features including bench seating, outdoor exercise equipment, and walking trails complementing the lush surrounds of this precinct.
Preliminary site works have begun at the brand-new Rosso Drive Park, the proposed 2.41-hectare reserve positioned directly south of Pomodoro Road in Stage 13. The stunning landscaped greenspace is anticipated to open to the public in late Q2 – early Q3 2023, and will consist of walking trails, sheltered BBQ areas, restroom and drink fountain facilities, as well as exercise equipment. An adventure playground with trampolines, pendulum swings, and an exciting ‘Kanope Tower’ will provide a fun and active space for children and families to create lasting memories.
The dry creek works from stages 1 through to 12 have received final pre-approval from Council. The site is pegged, landscaping schedules and plant procurement are currently in progress, and works are expected to begin very soon. The stunning dry creek environment will rejuvenate the natural grasslands, watercourse, and historic dry-stone walls, transforming the reserve into an inspiring wonderland for exploration and adventure, while also ensuring the long-term protection and sustainability of this habitat for generations to come.
In the wider community, local parents will be delighted to learn that the proposed VSBA Primary and Secondary schools in Tarneit will invite enrolments for the first term of 2024. The nearby Kenning Town Centre is also now in planning with Council, further adding to the list of local conveniences set to benefit the Verdant Hill community once completed.
Lastly, the design and construction of the feature entry statement into Verdant Hill is now out for tender, with a closing decision scheduled for August.
